Makeover

I had a makeover the other day
At Seasons Beauty Salon down Hillsborough way.
They cleansed my face with all sorts of potions,
Toners, skin cleansers, all sorts of lotions.
Then onward to have my hair done
It really was quite fun,
She washed and blow dried my hair,
While I sat there without a care.
My hair was beginning to look quite nice,
And then much to my surprise
I looked in the mirror
What I saw was a winner.
Now on to have my face made up
Without even having a tasty cup
Of coffee or of tea,
They had only time for me.
I looked a million dollars
And after all the hollers
My friends all looked twice to see
If this was really, really me.
A beauty for a day,
Thanh you God I pray.
I had it in my power
To look like a little flower
But it did not last
And now it's in the past
Perhaps I'll have a makeover another time
And then again I'll look quite fine.
We will just have to see
But for now I'll just be me.
