Welcome to issue 48 of Your Voice.

I'd like to start by thanking everyone at Your Voice, especially the individuals that make up the editorial group, for making me welcome and contributing so much to the production of the magazine.

As Natasha mentioned last time, I will be here until September so I feel I should say a little bit about myself and how I came to be editing Your Voice.

From 1995 until 2007, I worked with the UK Advocacy Network (UKAN), first as a volunteer and then as a paid worker.

An important part of my role was to produce UKAN's magazine 'The Advocate' which featured articles, reports and reviews on mental health advocacy, user empowerment, self-help, recovery, survivor arts and a wide range of other issues of interest to service users, mental health professionals and service providers.

At the moment I'm doing a foundation course in art psycotherapy and learning how to make furniture out of wood.

As you can see from the front page, this is going to be an exciting year in the development of Your Voice. The front page lays out our plans for the next four issues.

But what do you think of social inclusion? What does the term mean to you? Do you know of any groups or projects that we should let readers know about in the Social Inclusion pages of Your Voice?

This is your opportunity to get YOUR voice heard and to contribute to the unfolding of social inclusion in Sheffield.
